Booking terms
These are the terms you agree to when you book a place at a Kamala retreat. They apply to every guest on a booking. We've written them in plain English. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@kamalaretreats.com before you book.
Payment
Bookings are paid in full at the time of booking. We don't take deposits and we don't offer payment plans at this stage. Your place is held only once payment is complete.
Cancellation by you
All bookings are binding and non-refundable. Once you've paid, the room is yours and the cost is committed. We commit early to venues, food, and practitioners, and we cannot recover those costs if you cancel.
If you can no longer attend, we'd encourage you to reach out — we'll do what we sensibly can to help. Transferring your place to another guest may be possible at our discretion, but it isn't guaranteed and depends on the practitioners we have for the weekend. Transferring to a future retreat is similarly not guaranteed.
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance with retreat or cancellation cover when you book. It's the simplest way to protect yourself if illness, family circumstances, or anything else gets in the way.
Cancellation by us
If we have to cancel a retreat — for example due to a venue issue, force majeure, or a key practitioner becoming unavailable — you'll be offered a full refund or, where possible, a transfer to a future retreat at no extra cost. Our liability in that situation is limited to the amount you paid for the booking.
Illness and arrival
If you're unwell on the day, please don't travel — for your sake and the rest of the cohort. The same applies if a household member has a contagious illness. The booking is still subject to the cancellation policy above; insurance is the right route here.
Dietary needs
Our menu is dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and alcohol-free across the weekend. If you have additional allergens, intolerances, or specific dietary needs, you must tell us at the time of booking, and at the latest two weeks before the retreat. We can't guarantee accommodation of allergens disclosed after that point.
The kitchen we use is shared and we cannot guarantee a strictly allergen-free environment. If you have severe allergies, please contact us before booking so we can talk through what's realistic.
Behaviour
The retreat is alcohol-free. Recreational drugs are not permitted on the premises at any point. We ask guests to respect the cohort, the practitioners, the property, and the rhythm of the weekend. We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave — without refund — if their behaviour disrupts the retreat or compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.
Sharing your details
To deliver the weekend we share necessary information with the venue and the practitioners — your name, dietary needs, any access requirements, and an emergency contact. We don't share contact details with anyone for marketing.
Liability
You are responsible for your own wellbeing during the retreat. If you have a medical condition, mental health concern, or are pregnant, please consult your doctor before booking, and tell us so we can support you appropriately. Some practices on the weekend (breathwork, sound, movement) may not be suitable for everyone. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking, except where the law doesn't allow such limitation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Your booking is subject to the version in force at the time you booked.
